Kirstjen Nielsen: “Our democracy itself is in the crosshairs.”

I object in the strongest terms to the Administration's plan to construct tent cities at military installations around the state of Texas to warehouse immigrant children.

Without Congressional action, America's borders will never be secure.

It was the Russians. We know that. They know that. It was directed from the highest levels. And we cannot and will not allow that to happen again.

Although we may disagree on solutions, I hope there can be a consensus that the current system isn't working and that this is an emergency we must address together.
