The report accompanying this bill directs the General Accounting Office to review the National Marine Fishery Service's implementation of the Magnuson-Stevens Act, including the essential fish habitat provisions. Congress should receive a thorough report on this matter, and I look forward to receiving the results of the GAO's review.
