I would like to discuss the need to designate the Immigration and Naturalization office located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, as a Sub-office, with an Officer-in-Charge. I understand that the area serviced by the Fort Smith INS office has experienced tremendous growth in its Hispanic population and needs this designation in order to efficiently administer and enforce our nation's immigration laws.
