Your careers may end happily before the reckoning. Your reelections may not be threatened by your inaction. But your consciences should be.

It makes no sense whatsoever, and it's apparently--certainly makes no sense for the same people to be urgently arguing to deal with climate change and then either quiet or urgently opposed to nuclear power.

In the end, you have to pay the debt ceiling because otherwise the government can't function, and the effect of that would be catastrophic.

To get this done, you are going to have to have compromise--compromise on both sides of the aisle.
