The Compacts are at the core of the U.S. commitment to advancing a Pacific that is free and open.

I am grateful for the bipartisan approach of this subcommittee regarding the Compacts of Free Association (COFA) with the Freely Associated States (FAS).

We also believe that we have an ongoing moral and political responsibility because radiation continues and resettlement continues.

My constituents also believe that the Compact Impact funding is critical to ensuring host regions can adequately address the needs of the migrant community.
