The message needs to be clear back to their government that it is not a slam dunk.
There will not be a negotiation on economics only. It has to have a human rights aspect.
I hope one thing that can come out of this hearing is that Members of Congress can press Ambassador Haley on why she made the disastrous, shortsighted and, frankly, childish decision to withdraw from the Human Rights Council yesterday.
I think it wouldn't be correct to assume that the U.S. Government doesn't raise human rights issues outside of this dialogue.
