Mr. Chair, I know that you and my Republican colleagues believe that Mr. Trump is still the leader of the Republican Party. Unfortunately, you're following his example and attempting to weaponize Congress.

A second term with him, Trump, particularly when he would not be worrying about reelection, it would be fundamentally a catastrophe for us.

In his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the constitution or the concept of rule of law.

What happened on Capitol Hill yesterday was a direct result of his poisoning the minds of people with the lies and the fraud.
