The men and women of DHS will do everything we can and always, always within the law to keep the American people safe.

I look forward to supporting the passage of legislation that provides us with the necessary authorities to successfully fulfill our primary task of keeping the American people safe in a more streamlined and unified manner.

Tell the truth to your seniors even though it is uncomfortable, even though they may not want to hear it. They deserve that. Tell the truth.

I personally think the Visa Waiver Program enhanced our security.

This is not, I repeat, not a ban on Muslims.

the role of government first and foremost, is to secure its people.

It is inconceivable to me why any public official would not want to do this.

The president has been pretty straightforward about his desire and the need for a border wall. So, I would suspect he'll do the right thing for sure, but I will suspect he will be insistent on the funding.

We need a larger Secret Service because we need to get some of these people a little bit of time at home with their families.

Clearly the courts have decided that they are in a position to understand the threat against the United States better than people like me or the intelligence agencies.

We need to do better in the southward flow to go after the money and to go after the flow of guns.
