There is no doubt that bin Laden is dead. Certainly, there is doubt -- no doubt among al Qaeda members that he is dead.

I think that may be part of it. John Edwards didn't run and hasn't run an optimistic campaign because he's gunning to be vice president. He's running that campaign because he thought it would be successful. And he's been proven right.
