I am concerned that the proposed budget would represent an almost 40 percent cut in funding to the Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund.
I am also very deeply concerned with the Administration's effort to promote its Clean Skies Initiative.
Rather than work with Congress to move us forward on environmental issues, the Bush Administration is working with the special interests to undermine them.
This is a most serious problem, as far as I am concerned. Approximately 20,000 lives are prematurely ended each year because of old dirty powerplants not required to apply best available control technologies.
