I totally agree, and I was trying to indicate in my response earlier that the risk is being borne by taxpayers on an ongoing basis and the conservatorship is not over.
If we do not have the resources to hire the enforcement officers that we need, the tax gap will only grow.
If the intellectual content and the innovation is in the United States, there is a substantial tax due in the United States when that money comes home.
I don't think there is an urgent crisis. I don't think Americans should worry that their Social Security won't be there.
