Infrastructure is indeed the backbone of our country's economy, the most productive, flexible, and dynamic in the world.

There was never any Federal commitment. It was a verbal commitment, a verbal sentence given at a rally, a political rally no less.

But for New York and New Jersey to consider funds debt that we have given them as part of their equity back to us is something that we disagree with.

No passenger should be treated like that.

The status quo is unacceptable.

Drones and unmanned aircraft will be a part of the airspace in the future, which is why the administration is making this proposal.

The importance of the Gateway Program cannot be overstated.

The Department of Transportation cannot rebuild America's infrastructure on its own. We must work collaboratively across the many agencies.

A vibrant, economic and efficient freight rail network is critical to the success of U.S. manufacturers, and our Nation's economy.

This is an opportunity for bipartisan agreement and for us to all work together to build a better America.

So the issue is not only how much to fund our infrastructure projects, but also how to increase the pipeline of available projects.

The role of government is to foster the right environment in which job creation can occur.
