Edolphus Towns: “I want to recognize the achievements of Jack A. Brown III.”

The Honorable Edolphus Towns, a Member of Congress from the State of New York, Opening Statement

I am a strong supporter of President Obama's goal of improving the way this country uses its spectrum and freeing up more for mobile broadband and a national public safety network.

We need a government that can partner with companies to make sure they do a better job protecting the information they demand of consumers.

Unfortunately the discussion draft before us today falls short of the commitment needed to ensure that the personal information of hard working Americans are kept safe.
