Unfortunately the discussion draft before us today falls short of the commitment needed to ensure that the personal information of hard working Americans are kept safe.

When I walk the streets in my district and I listen to the people that are losing their homes, and then you look at these salaries, one would say, wait a minute, why don't we take these salaries and save a whole block.

I would like to hear from our witnesses whether and how both of their preferred outcomes can be achieved.
