True patriotism does not require us to hide injustice.

We honour them not as servants of a racial state, but as sons of Africa whose courage transcended the injustice of their time.

There is no place for racism in our country, no place for sexism, for xenophobia, for Afrophobia, or any other form of intolerance.

Our security forces are ready.

We will always seek to ensure the safety, even of those who are not documented to be here, is primary in everything we do and ensure that they are protected, and they are safe as we process their departure.

As the government, we have put in place security and other measures to deal with any attempts to destabilise our country, whether by citizens or foreign nationals.

We’ve made it clear that every person within our borders must be here lawfully.

The purpose of this application is thus to preserve the status quo and protect the integrity of the pending review proceedings.

The absence is their loss.

At all times, I acted in good faith.

It is not just about there being a valid report; it matters what the report finds.

The relief I seek is temporary and carefully circumscribed.
