I have spent a career here in the Congress, 10 years now fighting for workers' rights, fighting for labor unions and working families across the country, and I would not be here this morning offering the amendment if I did not think it helped the working families of this country and it helps our President protecting the country, those same workers, not exclusive of each other, but the same people all at the same time, and I would urge, on those merits and the help of a lot of friends in the House, passage.
