Bill Shuster, Chairman, Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, Washington, DC. The provisions contained in section 7004 were in neither the House bill nor the Senate amendment. As you know, the provisions in that section constitute rules of the House of Representatives and Senate, respectively, and as such, fall within the jurisdiction of the Committee on Rules. By agreeing to the inclusion of the section, the Rules Committee does not waive its jurisdiction over those provisions now or in the future. In addition, the Committee on Rules expects that it would receive a referral on any measure or matter addressing these provisions in the future. I request that you include this letter and your response in the Congressional Record during consideration of the conference report on the House floor. Thank you for your attention to these matters. Sincerely, Pete Sessions. ____ Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, House of Representatives, Washington, DC, May 15, 2014. Hon.…
