I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain. One of the dearest dreams of our Founding Fathers was that we, as a nation, would turn our attention to the arts and have our children and grandchildren do the same. In Utah, NEA funds have been used for children's theater with educational outreach in Coalville, Kamas, Duchesne, Roosevelt, Castle Dale, Salina, Beaver, and Price.
