I share the Senator's commitment to agricultural research and to the ARS. And, I recognize the importance of the ARS research conducted in Arkansas to your State, to the region, and to the Nation. During our conference deliberations with the House, I will keep the importance of these research activities in mind. I look forward to working with my colleagues from the House in conference to insure the highest level of funding possible taking into consideration national research priorities. I am sure the Arkansas units will rank highly on that list of priorities. I thank the Senator for bringing this important matter to my attention.
