Well, what animates all of our diplomacy is the President and the secretary's absolute commitment to the security of the American people.

I think it is naive to think that we just leave Afghanistan today and everything just works itself out on its own.

I think every war is unique. But, certainly, the American role is critical and essential in driving any process forward.
