I think they`re trying to focus on a leaked brief or on a protester, as opposed to the actual stealing of a constitutional right.

I would have loved for President Biden to say abortion more than he has, I would have loved for him to be fired up as one of my other former bosses, Senator Elizabeth Warren was because this is the fight of our lives.

Democrats, to be honest, as we`re talking about what it means to protect reproductive health care access, abortion care access, has to think of the most marginalized, and folks who typically don`t have a voice in this conversation.

We are talking about 26 states that will ban access to abortion. We`re talking about 36 million people who could give birth who would no longer be able to get access to abortion in their states.

What they have provided us is essentially a roadmap to let us know that they have been willing to overturn 49 years of precedent to take away a constitutional right, never lost a constitutional right.

The intent is not just to shame and, you know, blame abortion providers and patients, it`s also to create a heavy significant burden.

To say that it`s OK to ban abortions in the poorest state with one in five women, I believe -- or one in four women, one in four women in that state are uninsured.

What we have is a state like Mississippi, which today ask for a world where the states and the politicians can determine whether or not you are free.

There is not a single state in the union where banning abortion is popular. Our humanity and our dignity is not up for debate. Every time they overreach, we fight back. As Dr. King said, the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends…

It is not going to stop people from seeking access to abortion. It means they will have less access to safe abortion.

And, I mean, the cruelty is the point here, Joy.

It will force abortion providers and others who are sued to spend massive amounts of time and money to defend themselves in lawsuits across the state in which the deck is heavily stacked against them.
