I remain concerned that the pace of current operations prevents our forces from training across the entire range of operations and erodes our readiness to counter future threats.

The number one national security threat facing our country was Congress' inability to spend within its means.

The line of questioning approached here for those of us in the military that we would consider for a second not doing anything we possibly could just stirs us to our bones because that's not who we are. We don't leave anybody behind.

The direction you get from a President in a situation like that is 'Do everything you can.' It's all the guidance that you need.
