Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari expressed sorrow over the crash, offered condolences to the families of those killed and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Defending the country’s borders and eliminating terrorism were among the government’s top priorities.

I've committed to fight against terrorism. Pakistan carries a huge burden confronting al Qaeda and Taliban together, but we are up to the challenge.
