Mr. Speaker, H.R. 2766, introduced by the gentleman from Colorado (Mr. Beauprez), would direct the Secretary of Agriculture to exchange certain lands in the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in the State of Colorado. This exchange would facilitate the construction of a pipeline leading in a reservoir near Empire, Colorado, to the city of Golden, Colorado. In exchange, the Forest Service will benefit by acquiring nearly 80 acres of inholdings near Evergreen, Colorado, as well as receiving a donation of 61 acres of private land along the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. Mr. Speaker, I urge adoption of this bill.
