I would appeal to solicitors to come along with the majority of our colleagues who are providing the service under the criminal legal aid scheme.

I’m satisfied that there are solicitors who are operating the scheme and doing so effectively.

I should also say that I find the position of the Law Society in relation to the new scheme somewhat contradictory.

But they've also been done sensitively and methodically. I'm pleased to say they have not resulted in what some people thought may happen was homelessness of Ukrainian people in the area.
