For our ancestors, the ability to live in rugged, undeveloped countryside was often a matter of survival.

They have served us with great, great distinction.

I urge the Congress to give early and favorable consideration to all of these proposals.

Wilderness preservation insures that a central facet of our Nation can still be realized, not just remembered.

Let us turn outward to view the complex picture of international trade.
