I would take exception to if it goes up a little bit, 20 percent, when you are bringing home $1,900, is a significant amount.

I know you are well aware that there are many States that are considering, many Governors are considering not even submitting a State implementation plan at all.
It is a sad affair. I wish you would come and talk with the folks that these regulations are very deeply affecting.
We are hurting here. And when this regulation goes into effect, it is going to have an even more devastating effect on us directly.
We have the highest unemployment in our State right now, and it is directly attributable to a lot of things, natural gas, yes. But also to the regulatory environment, everything you see.
To think we would not want to have policies that move forward to keep our children healthy is a smokescreen of some sort.
I encourage Governors of each State to analyze the impacts of those clean energy jobs and other jobs that are created and sustained by the coal or natural gas industry.
Actually, in my bill in Section 4(b), I am asking for reporting, specific reporting...
States should not be required to implement a State or Federal plan that the State's Governor determines would negatively impact economic growth.
