MEDICARE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR POSTAL SERVICE EMPLOYEES AND RETIREES. (a) Educational Program.--The Postmaster General, in consultation with the Director of the Office of Personnel Management and the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, shall develop an educational program for Postal Service employees and annuitants who may be eligible to enroll in the Medicare program for hospital insurance benefits under part A of title XVIII of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395c et seq.) (commonly known as ``Medicare Part A'') and the Medicare program for supplementary medical insurance benefits under part B of title XVIII of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395j et seq.) (commonly known as ``Medicare Part B''), the objective of which shall be to educate employees and annuitants on how Medicare benefits interact with and can supplement the benefits of the employee or annuitant under the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program. (b) Rule of Construction.--Nothing in this section may be construed to authorize the Postal Service to require a Postal Service employee or annuitant (as defined in subsection (c)) to enroll in Medicare.…
