When a Member has a military base closing, who is it they are going to call? They are going to call the EDA. When a Member has a flood, an earthquake, a tornado and their businesses are devastated, who are they going to call? They are going to call the EDA. When a Member is trying to put that deal together, the industrial park, that business moving in, who are they going to call? It is going to be the EDA. Mr. Chairman, we all call upon the EDA because we have found it to be extremely effective and responsive. I urge rejection of the Hefley amendment.
