I understood the gentleman's first International Space Station amendment here. It was an amendment much like the amendments he has offered in the past, I think the last 5 years, as a matter of fact. It was a straight-up cut; was it not?

I would simply note that if this is about rights it is also about responsibilities and both are constitutionally based.
A day that I am going to do my best to remind everybody of every chance I get is June 1st, because that is the day that the United States starts living on credit and charging everything that we do to our kids, sending them the bill.
I commend the Administration for doing that, and doing it in a way that is very sensitive to the national security concerns.
I can certainly speak for a good majority of the Subcommittee, and we support funding for Legal Services to provide legal aid to those who need it and are disappointed that there are so many people out there who make up this justice gap…
