This amendment, as we understand it, is merely a restatement of current law, which already prohibits the employment of unauthorized aliens. We don't read into it that it imposes any new burden on those who are using funds appropriated under the act. It is fully consistent with current legal obligations imposed on all employers, regardless of whether or not they use such funds. We would accept the amendment, Mr. Chairman.

If I leave you with one message, it is science agencies must play a leadership role in the improvement of science education.
I commend the Administration for doing that, and doing it in a way that is very sensitive to the national security concerns.
