“I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 13, line 17, strike ``(h)'' and insert ``(i)''. Page 13, after line 16, insert the following: ``(h) Disclosure of Authorization to Sell Student Data.--An eligible entity carrying out a demonstration project under this section shall ensure that each institution of higher education of the eligible entity provides to each student, or the parents of each minor student, enrolled in the institution of higher education-- ``(1) a disclosure letter, which describes the personally identifiable information of the student that may be sold by a person with whom the institution of higher education has an agreement to provide software applications for students; and ``(2) an option to opt-out of such personally identifiable information from being sold.''.
