I want to again commend my good friend from New York (Mr. Israel) for his leadership that he has shown on this piece of legislation. It has been many years that they have been working on this. But I also want to take a moment to commend my good friend and colleague, the gentleman from New York, Tim Bishop, for the leadership and the work that he has put into this legislation; along with the gentlewoman from Connecticut, Rosa DeLauro, who has also been very involved; as well as 15 original cosponsors, Democratic cosponsors, from the New York delegation. I urge an ``aye'' vote on this important bill to restore and preserve the Long Island Sound and encourage its adoption this evening.
