Another problem is if you add it to an income tax you just end up raising massive revenue which I do believe does hurt economic growth.

I've advocated a value-added tax for many years as a supplement to our existing tax system.

I think we should try to control them, improve them if we can, but the most important thing I think we need to do is fund them properly.
