Paul Ryan: “if it's illegal, it's illegal.”

This is a serious moment for our country, and I hope that people in the United States Senate and the house will recognize.

This memo is not indictment of the FBI, of the Department of Justice, it does not impugn the Mueller investigation or the deputy attorney general.

What we're trying to do is tone down the rhetoric, lead by example and show people we can disagree with one another. We can have different ideas without being vitriolic, without going to such extremes.

If we do not see this moment in history for what it is, shame on us.
