The subcommittee will come to order. We are really lucky to have three incredible witnesses today to talk about a very important topic, military innovation, and how we can learn from the lessons of the past.

That requires, however, a common purpose and common understanding of the opportunities and the challenges.

It's unclear to me why we barreled ahead with a vote knowing that the votes weren't there. We did not need to embarrass ourselves.
