This is not about me and it is not me that did this. We did this. A lot of new Members that came in in 1994 feel very strongly about this and we have done this together. But it is not even us that is doing it. It is the American people that understood in 1993 the idea of raising taxes was wrong. They understood that the problem here was not that government was not getting enough money out of their pockets. They understood that government spending was growing out of control on all sorts of wasteful programs. It was really the American people that made a decision to make that change that led to people like my colleague and I being here that has resulted in these changes that are now just starting to take hold and really brought about this change for America. So I do not think it is us. I think it is the American people that deserve the credit for this.
