If we are going to be bombing the devil out of a country, I suspect that we have a considerable moral obligation to the population afterwards to help repair the damage and to help repair the human misery. So I do not begrudge what we will be trying to do for the people of Iraq after this miserable war. What I do hope, however, is that we will be able to reduce and perhaps eliminate future tax cuts that are contemplated right now here at home so that we can in fact provide universal health care for the people at home; so that we can in fact provide some school construction in our own districts; and so that we can in fact modernize hospitals in our own country.
