I simply add to the gentleman's thoughts this point. I find it quaint, indeed, that this House would appear to want to try to promote the freedom of Cubans by denying freedom to Americans. That makes no sense to me. The last time I looked at it, we are supposed to be representing Americans; and the people I represent ought to have a right to travel anywhere they choose so long as they are citizens of what is supposed to be the greatest, freest democracy in the world. I wish everyone in this Chamber would have a better understanding of that than they seem to have. I thank the gentleman for his efforts.
