What does the Lord require? Do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. These words from the prophet Micah are as true today as they were when first spoken. They provide guidance to how we in Congress can lead by example for everyone in this country as we try to come to terms with the tragedy in Arizona. We can work with each other with justice, with mercy and humility in our hearts. When Micah said these words, they were guidance. Today they are a plea. And I know that we can heed these words. Madam Speaker, I ask that we keep all the victims and the families of this tragedy in our prayers, and I especially ask that we keep Gabby in our hearts.
