“I will not stand for these kinds of attacks. The condescension that is coming from the other side--have you talked to your constituents? Do you really know? You don't really know what you are doing. Excuse me. We are here to represent our districts, and I still believe I am the Member that gets the most votes of any Member of Congress anywhere in the country. Don't tell me I don't know how to represent my district. What you are doing today, what this majority is doing today, is making life dangerous for kids. What the majority is doing today is getting in the way of families and parents and kids making the decisions that they need to make so that they can live, so that they don't commit suicide. What parent in this body or anywhere in this country wouldn't do anything for their children? What parent doesn't want their kids to live? This is dangerous. You are putting our kids at risk, and I will not stand for it. The American people won't stand for it. Vote ``no'' on this horrific and cruel bill.”
