The original Burr amendment did have a lot of discussion and passion on both sides, but the Senators were able to come together this afternoon to resolve their differences over this issue and craft a reasonable compromise that is acceptable to both sides. I want to thank Senator Burr, Senator Tillis, and Senator Boxer for their willingness to find a solution that we can support. So I urge all my colleagues to support the Burr amendment, as modified.
