There is too little time left on the legislative calendar for this body to be considering partisan legislation that we have been assured will not become law. Furthermore, the future of our Nation's highways and transportation systems are far too important to continue to fund using short-term Band-Aid patches. Our constituents, this great country, deserves better. I yield back the balance of my time.
