A week ago or so, I said history repeats itself, and I said it in the context that we keep hearing the same arguments over and over and over again. History repeats itself, it seems like, every week. So here we are, right back from the district work period, and history is repeating itself all over again. We are talking about energy, but we are talking about the wrong solutions. The reason we have an energy problem in this country is due to the policies of this administration. It is so simple. We've said it over and over. In fact, last year, we addressed the issue of trying to increase the energy supply, American energy, to create American energy jobs. Unfortunately, only a few on that side voted with us. Now the other side is starting to get it. Energy matters in this country. We need to develop American energy. This is history repeating itself. Vote ``no'' on the motion to recommit. I yield back the balance of my time. The SPEAKER pro tempore. Without objection, the previous question is ordered on the motion to recommit. There was no objection. The SPEAKER pro tempore. The question is on the motion to recommit. The question was taken; and the Speaker pro tempore announced that the noes appeared to have it. Recorded Vote

I urge a ``yes'' vote on the resolution, and I yield the control of the remainder of my time to the gentlewoman from California (Ms. Lofgren), the distinguished chairwoman of the Committee on House Administration. The SPEAKER pro tempore…
As an original co-sponsor of H.R. 9-- Climate Action Now Act, I would have voted YES on rollcall #184, had I been present. ____________________
