I don't think it's particularly bad that they have the conversation. What's bad, to date, is that President Trump has not shown, I think, the unity behind Ukraine to really put pressure on Putin.
I think what the public needs to know about this... is more about what Trump released with their national security strategy.
The military is being required to spend resources and time on this, instead of training and preparing to meet the national security needs of the country.
There are no rules, there are no standards, there is no truth, there is no accountability. What Trump says is the truth.
