The third thing we can do, and we can do it short-term, is go into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Two Republican Presidents and one Democratic President have done that with great effect--lowering the price 33 percent, 19 percent, and 9 percent. It gives immediate relief to the consumer at the pump. We can do this together if the agenda is about doing something for your constituent and mine and not just having this political food fight.…”
