Page 6, line 25, strike the period and insert ``; and''. Page 6, after line 25, insert the following: (4) examine and identify-- (A) the extent of the need for the development of new pharmacological, nonpharmacological, and medical device alternatives to opioids; (B) the current status of research efforts to develop such alternatives; and (C) the pharmacological, nonpharmacological, and medical device alternatives to opioids that are currently available that could be better utilized.
