The members here have heard me say this many times, in the Guard in Tennessee we have a program called Guard Your Buddy, which has been shown to reduce suicide by almost 70 percent.

When suicide occurs in a hospital, a place where the most vulnerable go for help, that loss feels particularly acute.

Do not imply, Mr. Secretary, I care any less about the veterans who are committing suicide. I have declared suicide prevention to be the No. 1 priority of this committee.

If you were, you wouldn't behave like this. And nobody would spend their own money like this.
