It is bad enough that these veterans who fought so bravely for our freedom have lost their eyesight due to injuries that they received in battle, but to ignore their needs when they return home and more sorely need our help is inexcusable.

Now, don't just ask me that. Go back and read the words of the people that founded this country and put together our Constitution.
But I am mindful of something Rahm Emanuel said when he was chief of staff to President Obama in 2009. He said you never let a serious crisis go to waste. I am afraid some of us are doing that here.
It is embarrassing to me to go home and to look those folks in the eye who work as hard as they do and write the checks they do to see this big of a disaster, financial disaster.
If you were, you wouldn't behave like this. And nobody would spend their own money like this.
