Mr. Raymond F. Mulherin, for many years a post office employee and post office inspector, may be reinstated to an appropriate position in the classified service without regard to the time limit upon his eligibility for reinstatement.

Mr. James W. Girard may be reinstated as Logging Engineer, $3800 per annum, in the Forest Service, without regard to the time limit on eligibility for reinstatement fixed by the rules.

Nothing special took place at the Cabinet this morning.

The Civil Service Commission submits the case without prejudice.
